JOHOR MESTI SENTIASA MENJADI JOHOR
Sememangnya
semenjak zaman pemerintahan Sultan Abu Bakar, Johor sering mendapat
pemerintah lain. Johor melalui pemerintahan Sultan Abu Bakar mendahului
negeri lain dengan pelbagai cara,
contohnya Pemasyhuran Undang-undang Tubuh Kerajaan, Mahkota Kerajaan

JOHOR MUST ALWAYS BE JOHOR
Ever since the ruling days of Sultan Abu Bakar, Johor has always been on the receiving end of unfavourable treatments. It started when the ruling power was transferred from Bendahara to Temenggong and Johor's good relationship with the Queen of England began to pressure other rulers. Thanks to the wisdom of Sultan Abu Bakar, Johor surpassed other states in various ways, including the introductions of the Johor State Constitution, the Johor State Crown and royal visits within and outside of Johor, and most crucially, the recognition of the British Empire as a sovereign state.
The late Sultan’s daringness to step outside Johor to explore countries that no other Malays had been to before and do new things opened the eyes of other state rulers. Although five generations have since passed, Sultan Abu Bakar’s enthusiasm and commitment to try new things have never faded and have been inherited by His Majesty’s descendants. In the world of football, Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim has done everything that should be done to take Johor football to a higher level.
Ever since His Highness became the President of the Johor Football Association, he has never shirked from criticising whenever necessary. On several occasions, he has drawn a lot of flak from the higher-ups of the FAM.
Although he has been called ‘Budak Mentah’ by several veteran icons, it has not broken his spirit in voicing his opinions and criticism. Similar to the late Sultan Abu Bakar, his daringness to conduct negotiations and form partnerships with world-famous football clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and River Plate were unprecedented and had never been achieved by any club in Malaysia. His decisiveness has more or less opened the eyes of all local football fans, who now consider JDT as a global club.
"Whatever happens, I hope Johor will always be Johor.”
Hidup Johor Demi Johor
